Do Your Children Know That Only Jesus Can Satisfy their Soul?

Dearest Mothers,

Now that Christmas is over and the gifts are all given,
Are you finding that your children are satisfied?
Are they happy now?
Or
Are they looking for more gifts and more things?

Gifts and things can never satisfy,
Nor bring happiness to the soul.
There will always be a desire for something else.

Jesus Christ the Lord is the ONLY ONE who can satisfy.
We must teach this to our children!

Only Jesus Can Satisfy Your Soul

The world may try to satisfy
That longing in your soul.
You may search the wide world over
But you'll be just as before.
You'll never find true satisfaction
Until you've found the Lord,
For only Jesus can satisfy your soul.

CHORUS:
Only Jesus can satisfy your soul.
Yes, only He can change your heart
And make you whole.
He'll give you peace you never knew,
Sweet joy and love and Heaven, too.
For only Jesus can satisfy your soul.

If you could have the fame and fortune,
All the wealth you could attain.
Yet, you have not Christ within,
Your living here would be in vain.
There'll come a time when death will find you,
Riches cannot help you then.
So, come to Jesus, only He can satisfy.

CHORUS:
Only Jesus can satisfy your soul:
Yes, only He can change your heart
And make you whole.
He'll give you peace you never knew,
Sweet joy and love and Heaven, too.
Only Jesus can satisfy your soul.
Yes, only Jesus can satisfy your soul.

Thank you for this post. This is so important. My mother taught us that only Jesus can satisfy our souls. My sister and I sang that song in prisons, hospitals and military bases, etc. as we traveled with a musical group as children. Here's a link to my sister Lisa and me singing those very words at ages 6 and 8. Praise the Lord.

Beautiful singing!!!
I love it.

To hear the voices of children singing so sweetly to the glory of Jesus just gives me joy unbounded!
Oh how I long to hear and see children loving Jesus and praising Him, serving and ministering to others in His Name.
It's not happening so much in America any more is it?

Your mother is priceless, she understood to teach you diligently the things of God as you grew, and to serve Him. Praise God!

What a blessing Ingrid!
Thank you so much for sharing the song and the encouraging comment.
In His love,
Sarah

P.S. Who sang the harmony?

I was singing the harmony. My sister's voice was lower and bigger and she was on the melody. We switched around depending on what key a song was in...

Dear Ingrid,
I thought so.
How special and impressive that you both switched depending on the song... That is really good training!

God bless you and your family continually!

Dear Natasa,
Yes, the lyric is beautiful indeed!
The other day I was doing my normal house work when that song just popped into my mind! I hadn't thought of it for perhaps a few years! I use to hear it on the radio, WMBI from Chicago, and learned it. Now it seems more precious to me.

If you'd like to hear it, the first comment on this post has a link.
